I have a blood disorder and I am a diabetic type 1 came via ambulance got cannulated and then x rayed then spoke to a Dr told him my issues had it documented, then was told to sit outside the waiting area, had to be isolated as I have no spleen, then 7 hours later saw a Dr and asked me what I was here for?They received my bloods 5 hours previously to find I have a serious infection which could be deadly for someone like myself. I am shocked and appalled by the way I was treated considering I’m a complex case and all my consultants are at the Queens hospital, my husband was treated disrespectful by 2 nurses with condescending answers. I told the ambulance crew to take me to Queens prior my visit to KGH but had no choice but go there, where I hope I won’t be going again

No1 you need to prioritise the cases No2 have respect for those that are unwell No3 don’t send ambulance patients in the waiting area where casualties have turned up on foot with possible mild cases No4 the change over of your Drs that time of the morning, cases need to be discussed by the drs that just come in to take over No5 organise your A&E better, never have I seen in such an unorganised manner

Can’t fault the staff just trying to treat too many people at once resulting in extremely long waiting times between tests and speaking to doctors. My self and my wife arrived 7.30 pm Friday had tests and X-rays and ct scan and waited until 4.30 pm Saturday to see doctor who was a very nice person But for older persons is a long time sitting just waiting.

Make it easier for the public to get GP appointments so they don’t clog up the hospital with minor ailments

It took 4 hours to initially get checked. Reception staff are just horrendously rude. Everyone is so unbothered, realistically my self why would I want to sit in a dirty A&E that stinks and has manky people coughing everywhere unless I was concerned. Doctors and nurses know how much they will get paid before they start working there. There was many people standing around doing NOTHING. 3 people to one patient. The whole system is being failed not failing because you guys don’t have proper systems in place. Doctors are sitting in GP surgeries getting paid with our taxes to do nothing. It’s all a JOKE! I hope you enjoy my review.

Suggested improvements
Everything train your reception staff better. Feedback to who you need to get coughs and cold and temperature out of the a&e. Make GPS do there job. Have better systems in place. Get stricter management don’t let people stand around and do nothing. Ensure people are working.

Honestly I was very pleased from arrival by ambulance till discharge. I felt I was listened to and not dismissed or ignored. They were efficient and very professional in their treatment and accommodated around my Islamic Faith needs, such as wanting a female nurse etc... for my ECG. I felt very reassured and was very confident that they had been very thorough in ruling out problems. I would highly recommend this Hospital to anyone.

Suggested improvements
Treatment wise I was very satisfied. In terms of the Hospital itself, the taxi pick up area needs to be moved to another area as it is confusing to work out what is your taxi and what is a private car, especially at night.

After seeing the consultant and starting the treatment the follow up after or the information was not passed on to the patient or GP, I personally care after 3 months and reported and asked to finish my treatment than I got an another appointment.
